There is a strong possibility that I have an opportunity to visit Amsterdamon the return leg of an overseas business trip. Since this group obviouslyseems to contain some fellow globe trotters, does anyone have anyrecommendations for Hotels in the city? Things to do? Places to see? etc?

Answer: I once asked a question similar to this and was referred to theappropriate soc.culture.* website. And this might be worthwhile,although a lot of the soc.culture.* websites have degenerated intopolitical flame wars, often in non-English.

I never got to stay long enough in Amsterdam to see anything other thanthe airport, which is very nice as airports go. But one thing that Iwas told that I must see at all costs was the Torture Museum. Don'task me; it's just what I was told.
