My boyfriend and I will be travelling to Portugal this February. Wewill have spent a few days in Amsterdam prior to Portugal. Our flightback home leaves from Amsterdam and we have extended our stay there byone week. Does anyone know of any reasonable 5-day travel packagesfrom Amsterdam to other parts of Europe or can anyone recommend wherewe can/should go from Amsterdam in our short time? This will be ourfirst trip to Europe so we want to see as much as we can withoutoverdoing it.

Answer: I'd recommend staying in Amsterdam - certainly the freindliest,easiest and most fun city in Europe (everyone speaks English too.

I travel there every onth or so and always stay at the Hotel Piet Heinin Voorsuuirstraat (phone +31 20 662 72 05 or 15 26 for fax) - smallfamily hotel, v. freindly, v. handy for the museums (less than 5 minsby foot).

Just hang out and soak up the atmosphere - you'll learn more aboutEurope than trying to dash around looking at monuments.
