Question:
The pot in Amsterdam is much stronger than what normally passes for pot in the US. If you are not a regular smoker, you should start slow, and avoid space cakes and hash brownies.

Do the latter still exist? I thought they were outlawed due to the municipal costs of retrieving the bodies.

Answer: I understand they still have them, but have limits on the amount of marijuana they can put in them. I don't know how strictly that's enforced.

Separate from the "coffee shops", they have "smart shops" which sell other drugs. Magic mushrooms are sold in smart shops along with "liquid ecstacy" and different herbal stuff. Now shrooms seem like something you really wouldn't want to use in a city full of canals...but I'm told that people like to see the Van Gogh Museum while shrooming!
