Question:
I'm planning a trip to amsterdam and I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions for hotels. I would like to spend less than $150 US per nite if possible. I've looked online for hotels and found alot but i dont know which ones are good or in a cool location.. and since they seem to fill up rather quickly i would hate to stay somewhere lame and not be able to move... any suggestions would be helpful-

Answer: It sounds like you're in a higher class of traveller than your average backpacker, judging by your max price. I stayed in a hostel - Hans Brincker (sp?) I think, in the Leidserplein (sp? again) area. Cost me about $15 U.S. per night, if I remember correctly (which I probably don't since I got so baked every day!) The hostel experience was cool - I met a lot of smoking partners, and had some good sessions in my shared room! Didn't know how to speak Italian, but me and that Italian chick seemed to know the international terms for "bowl??? yes!!!"What a great time I had. Have fun there, wherever you stay.
